In Kirchzarten, mountain biking is almost part of everyday life. The proximity to nature, the trails in the Hexenwald forest, and the legendary Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon have made MTB sports something truly special here. But what’s happening goes far beyond casual hobby rides. In Kirchzarten, youth development on two wheels is a lived reality – thanks to the SV Kirchzarten bike school and the Lexware Junior Team. And we at CUORE are thrilled to be part of it as a local partner with our on-site office.

The Lexware Junior Team is now a real success story. What started as an idea has evolved into a structured and highly motivated development team for kids and teens aged seven to eighteen. Around 40 young talents train several times a week on trails and at the stadium in Kirchzarten – with tons of fun and the goal of introducing them to mountain biking as a competitive sport through broad-based training.
Behind the team is a passionate coaching staff. Ten dedicated coaches ensure that skills, endurance, and race experience aren’t neglected – during the week and at races on weekends. The kids learn early on how competition works. Sure, it can be tough – especially when differences in performance become clear. But that's also where major learning happens. Because those who stick with it, push through, and still manage to keep the fun alive develop not only athletically but also personally in meaningful ways.

The foundation for all this is laid in the SV Kirchzarten bike school. For over 25 years, mountain biking has been offered here for kids from the age of four – and with great success. Today, more than 200 children are part of this school, which has become a true institution in the region. Especially for families who might not have considered mountain biking as a first-choice sport, it’s a wonderful entry point. At the bike school, even the youngest (starting at age four) learn to handle their bikes through play: braking, cornering, balancing, riding one-handed – everything needed for safe and confident biking – but all without performance pressure. It’s all about building a joy for movement and developing confidence. And those with talent and a hunger for more can seamlessly transition from the bike school into the Lexware Junior Team.

With such strong team spirit, the right cycling apparel is naturally important – so it's all the more exciting that the kids of the Lexware Junior Team have been training and racing in CUORE kits since this season.
And for many of them, it’s more than just a jersey. On shared trips to the bike park, the matching outfits are immediately visible – and you can feel them too. They strengthen team spirit, create pride, and boost motivation. And since we at CUORE know that biking doesn't stop in summer, we provide the team with a full gear range – including winter. From jackets and long-sleeve jerseys to leg warmers and warm pants in the team design, it’s all there. What many clubs lack, we can provide: a wide variety of products that meet both athletic and functional demands – and most importantly, that fit kids. Even during the team fitting at the CUORE office, the anticipation was palpable – and it gave us the chance to connect and create a true sense of community.
By the way, you can order the SV Kirchzarten CUORE kit from the Team Shop.

At the upcoming Black Forest ULTRA Bike Marathon from July 11–13, 2025, we want to make this connection even more visible – and everyone can help by stopping by our CUORE booth at the Expo: we’ll be selling limited edition CUORE bike socks to support the SV Kirchzarten’s youth program. All proceeds will go toward a new skills module that will help kids improve their riding technique, practice jumps, and boost their self-confidence.

For us at CUORE, this project is truly close to our hearts – not only because of our regional connection, but above all because it gives us the opportunity to actively support and promote the next generation in cycling.
